Board Of TrusteesThe Board of Trustees is the Orland Fire Protection District’s policy-making body that is responsible for providing financial oversight and strategic policy direction. The Board is also active in the Fire District functions such as open houses, promotional ceremonies, and many other community activities. It consists of five locally elected officials, each of which serves a six-year term.
Board of Fire CommissionersThe Board of Fire Commissioners consists of 3 citizens who are appointed by the Board of Trustees. The Fire Commissioners are responsible for all sworn personnel matters. Some of their key functions are to establish and oversee the hiring and promotional procedures for personnel, as well as disciplinary actions.
