The Deputy Chief is appointed by and is held accountable to the Board of Trustees.  He serves as the Deputy Chief and as the Acting Fire Chief in the Fire Chief's absence.  The Deputy Chief oversees the work of the Administrative Chief and Operations Chief, which includes:  Training, EMS, Special Ops, Dispatch, Risk Reduction & Life Safety, Physical Resources and Technical Resources Division.
