The Orland Fire Protection District Board of Trustees seek a qualified candidate to fill a vacancy on the Board of Fire Commissioners due to the election of Commissioner Jeffers to the Board of Trustees in May, 2025.  The position is effective immediately. upon appointment, and the Commissioner will serve for the remaining 1-year term.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen and a resident of the Orland Fire District.  Commissioners receive minimal compensation for their service.

The function of the Board of Fire Commissioners is to conduct the testing of new Firefighter candidates, promotional processes and potential discipline.
