The
Orland Fire Protection District is a multifunction fire protection and life-safety
organization. We have over 110 suppression personnel backed up by 30+ support staff.
We cover 33 square miles and serve a population of 75,000+ with 6 fire stations. We are an
ISO Class 2 department.
The Orland Fire Protection District (OFPD) is located approximately 25 miles southwest of
Chicago.
The earliest record of a fire department is in 1894, two years after the Village of Orland
Park was incorporated. The department began as a volunteer organization.
In 1994, we celebrated 100 years of
committed service. As we embark on the next 100 years, we are striving to meet the needs
of our changing community with excellence. |
