This Special Meeting of the Orland Fire Protection District Board of Fire Commissioners was called to order on February 27, 2006 at
7:04 P.M. by Chairman James Walsh.  Notice of the Meeting was posted as required by law. The meeting was held at the District’s Administrative Building, 9788 W. 151^st Street, Orland Park, Illinois.

CALL TO ORDER

On call of the roll, Commissioners Donahue, Michalek and Walsh answered present.

Others present: Chief Donald Bettenhausen, Deputy Chief Arthur Granat, Attorney Carolyn Clifford and Recording Secretary Mary Beth Bowdish.

ROLL CALL

The Minutes of the February 1, 2006 and February 6, 2006 Special Meeting were presented for review and approval. 

Commissioner Walsh stated the February 6, 2006 Meeting was a Regular Meeting and requested the Minutes to reflect that correction.  

Commissioner Donahue moved to approve the Minutes of the Special Meeting of February 1, 2006, as presented, and the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 6, 2006, as corrected.  Motion seconded by Commissioner Michalek and carried unanimously on roll call vote.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Attorney Clifford presented the Fire Commission with a communication from Attorney Ottosen to clarify his request that the Fire Commission hold off on any testing at this time. 

Commissioner Michalek moved to convene to Closed Session under the Open Meetings Act to discuss employment of employees.  Seconded by Commissioner Donahue.  Motion passed unanimously on roll call vote at 7:11 P.M.

CLOSED SESSION

The Special Meeting was reconvened at 7:27 p.m., on a motion duly made by Commissioner Michalek, seconded by Commissioner Donahue and unanimously carried on roll call vote.

Chief Bettenhausen will work on an estimated budget for testing.

RECONVENE

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 P.M., on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried on roll call vote.
