The Basic Life Support Provider Course is for the professional that needs CPR as a term of employment.

Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
The course follows the guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and foreign body airway obstruction maneuvers outlined by the American Heart Association.
This course will consist of a lecture, practical, and written exam. The lecture will include background information about heart disease, risk factors, and prudent heart living and heart and lung anatomy. One-rescuer and foreign body airway obstruction maneuvers will be demonstrated in the practical portion. The lecture, practical, and written exam will cover adults and pediatrics.
For course completion or “Certification”, you will be required to:
- Receive a satisfactory score on a 25 question written exam.
- Demonstrate the proper techniques for CPR on an adult, a child, and an infant.
- Perform foreign body airway obstruction maneuvers on an adult, a child, and an infant.
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing to class. You will be working with training mannequins on the floor. It is important to know that the mannequin portion of the course will involve strenuous physical activity.
