Michael Schofield

Michael Schofield (with the District since 03/01/78) is the Orland Fire Protection District’s Fire Chief. Appointed and held accountable by the Board of Trustees, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer and is the highest-ranking officer in the Fire District. He is responsible for aligning the entire Fire District with the vision of the Board of Trustees.

Battalion Chief William Bonnar Jr. (with the District since 10/01/79) manages the Orland Fire Protection District’s Operational Services. These services include: Suppression, Emergency Medical Services, Specialty Teams, as well as Training. Each of the above areas of Operation Service is overseen by a Lieutenant who reports to Battalion Chief Bonnar.

Battalion Chief Bonnar also manages the Orland Fire Protection District’s Administrative Services. These services include: Fire Prevention, Dispatch, Information Technology, and Officer Development. Each of the above areas of Administration Service is overseen by a Lieutenant who reports to Battalion Chief Bonnar.

Daniel Smith

Battalion Chief Dan Smith (with the District since 01/23/89) is responsible for the Gold Shift of firefighters and paramedics. He monitors and manages the day-to-day operations of this shift. Each station has a staff of two Gold Shift Lieutenants who report directly to Battalion Chief Smith.

Battalion Chief Nicholas Cinquepalmi (with the District since 05/30/89) is responsible for the Red Shift of firefighters and paramedics. He monitors and manages the day-to-day operations of this shift. Each station has a staff of two Red Shift Lieutenants who report directly to Battalion Chief Cinquepalm.

Battalion Chief Greg Ferro (with the District since 10/01/97) is responsible for the Black Shift of firefighters and paramedics. He monitors and manages the day-to-day operations of this shift. Each station has a staff of two Black Shift Lieutenants who report directly to Battalion Chief Ferro.
